The Londoner Hotel

A British-style wonderland on the Cotai Strip
VERIFIED LUXURY

Upon stepping through the ornate doors of The Londoner Hotel, don’t be surprised if you feel like you’ve been transported through time and space to Victorian-era England. From its stately, Westminster-inspired facade to the life-size working replica of Big Ben, this all-suite Macau hotel exudes British atmosphere, history and details across every inch of the playful and picturesque grounds.

A cast of quintessentially British characters (including stoic bobbies, medieval knights and even William Shakespeare himself) is on hand to welcome you. Once you’ve had some fun, you’ll be whisked upstairs to settle into one of the hotel’s 600 luxury suites, where tastefully understated interiors designed by internationally renowned architecture firm Steve Leung Design Group juxtapose the maximalist lobby.

Spacious and contemporary, each suite offers its own foyer with a separate living area and bedroom, alongside elegant accents such as marble nightstands, fabric headboards, crystal wall sconces, high-backed leather armchairs and Victorian-style bathtubs.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • As one of five international hotel brands within the sprawling Londoner Macao integrated resort, there’s plenty to see, do and eat here. Go shopping, dine out, try your luck on the gaming floor or catch a live performance at the 1,700-seat Londoner Theater.
  • The Residence is a British-style club exclusively for The Londoner Hotel guests. Measuring nearly 12,000 square feet, the club offers exceptional services and a selection of food and beverages in a more residential setting.
  • A classic red double-decker bus, an exact replica of the queen’s carriage, the iconic Abbey Lane crossing... there’s no shortage of playful details and photo opportunities the whole family will love.
  • Anglophiles won’t want to miss the pomp and pageantry of the Changing of The Guard (which is coming soon), which takes place at the hotel’s Crystal Palace lobby (subtle design references are made to London’s Claridge’s) several times a day. Featuring trumpeters and guards in towering bearskin hats, the spectacle uses dazzling special effects and music for a modern twist on this classic Buckingham Palace ritual.
  • Although Macau has its share of noteworthy culinary spots, you won’t want to miss the in-house dining options that reflect London’s diverse gastronomic landscape. Start by exploring classic British fare inspired by old-fashioned Victorian food halls at Churchill’s Table, where you can dig into an authentic full English “fry up” for breakfast, a truffle and egg flatbread for lunch or an indulgent seafood platter come dinnertime. Every evening, the restaurant also turns up the creativity with an exclusive Dessert Tasting Journey, showcasing imaginative sweets (think nitro popcorn, whiskey cream meringue and raspberry toffee with Sichuan pepper mousse) paired with cocktails or mocktails.

The Restaurants

  • For those keen to try Chinese cuisine, book a table at North Palace. In this contemporary, convivial restaurant, sample a wide array of classic Northern Chinese dishes, including hand-pulled noodles, Peking duck, roasted lamb, Beijing-style crispy prawns, braised sliced beef and turnip, and more.
  • An elegant introduction to Huaiyang, a regional style of Chinese cuisine, awaits at The Huaiyang Garden by master celebrity Chinese chef Zhou Xiaoyan. Inspired by the lakes and gardens of Hangzhou, the fine-dining restaurant provides an intimate and luxurious atmosphere in which to enjoy stewed meatballs with crab roe in superior soup, baked rice with eel and yellow chives, and steamed hilsa herring with 20-year-old Huadiao wine.
  • A trip to London just wouldn’t be complete without afternoon tea. For something extra special, reserve the Mad Hatter Afternoon Tea at Churchill’s Table. During this lavish weekend, Alice and Wonderland characters serve a delectable tower of whimsical sweets and savories, alongside English tea and champagne.
  • On your doorstep, The London Macao complex offers dozens of other restaurants to try, including elevated British flavors at the forthcoming Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill by Gordon Ramsay, casual Chinese at Tim Ho Wan and American sensations like Lady M or Shake Shack.
