The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad

A luxurious NoMad newcomer
VERIFIED LUXURY

The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad sits in one of NYC's hottest neighborhoods. Residing in one of NoMad's tallest buildings — designed by architect Rafael Viñoly — the hotel offers incredible views from the Empire State Building down to the Statue of Liberty. Admire the vistas everywhere, from the 219 guest rooms and 31 suites to the rooftop bar.

The luxury hotel also seeks to build a reputation as a dining destination. Acclaimed chef José Andrés opened Zaytinya, an all-day restaurant serving mezze inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisines, as well as an outpost of The Bazaar, an innovative epicurean feast for the senses.

When you need to unwind, retreat to the 6,800-square-foot Ritz-Carlton Spa with eight treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room and a gym outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment like Peloton bikes.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • As you arrive, the impeccably designed lobby and adjoining bar make a stunning first impression. The muted pink velvet couches, tile staircase and fabric chandelier thoughtfully coordinate with the abundance of live greenery weaved throughout the space, most notably, the arrangement of live hydrangeas that runs the length of the bar.
  • Even the most jaded New Yorkers will find themselves wowed by the panoramic view of the city from the 50th-floor Nubeluz rooftop bar. And there are many other vantage points: the NoMad hotel arranged the guest rooms so that they face south for an unobstructed glimpse of downtown.
  • Most accommodations include a deep-soaking tub and a spacious shower — tiled in two-tone terrazzo marble — and all boast amenities that include Diptyque products, a Nespresso machine and mini-bar cleverly tucked into a reimagined armoire, and smart lighting.
  • The hotel spa is an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In need of an escape? Book a service in the spa's suite, where you will enjoy a private sauna, dressing area and treatment that uses top-shelf products from Dr. Dennis Gross, Augustinus Bader, ESPA and Diptyque.
  • José Andrés' Zaytinya provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, and with the restaurant's main entrance on Broadway, the buzzy restaurant is a hot spot for visitors and locals.
