The Sky Lobby is unquestionably one of the best spots in the city to observe Tokyo Tower. Take a front-seat view by the glass window or one of the tiered seats closer to the bar — all offer up-close-and-personal views of the famous landmark and the sprawling city around it.
The Prince Park Tower has everything you need under one roof. In addition to plush rooms, there’s a day spa and a nail salon for beauty needs, shops for retail therapy, plus a foreign exchange service, a shipping service and 24-hour room service.
It is a family friendly hotel with family rooms, baby cots and fun entertainment options such as karaoke, a 12-lane bowling alley with billiards tables, and bike rentals.
For events and business, there are a whopping 17 meeting rooms — two ranking among the largest in Japan. All of them are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and flexible seating arrangements. The spaces include a ballroom for formal dinner parties and ceremonies, a convention hall, various-sized banquet rooms and three chapels.
The hotel is in the upmarket Minato district, an area popular with travelers and expats that’s teeming with restaurants, bars, shops, galleries and attractions such as the Nezu Museum, Roppongi Hills, 21 21 Design Sight, and Tokyo Midtown. Zojoji Temple, originally built in 1393 and moved to its present location in 1598, is just next door to The Prince Park Tower.

Things to Know

For relaxation and post-workout relief, the Tokyo hotel offers separate male and female onsens filled with natural spring water. There’s an expansive aquatic recreation center, with an 82-foot-long pool, whirlpool and a sauna. Like the Technogym-equipped fitness center, it incurs an extra fee.
It’s a five-minute walk from the lobby to subway stations on the Oedo and Mita lines, and 12-minute stroll or short courtesy shuttle bus ride from the hotel to JR Hamamatsucho station. The hotel is also a modest cab ride — less than JPY$1200 or US$11 — to the entertainment- and restaurant-dense area of Roppongi.
From Narita airport, the Airport Limousine bus goes directly to the hotel, and from Haneda, the monorail takes 15 minutes to Hamamatsucho station.

The Rooms

Floor designs are themed and have evocative décor to set the mood. The Panoramic Floor boasts cityscape photography, surround sound, a TV in in the bathroom and a view from the bath out to Tokyo; the Park Floor provides spectacular vistas of Shiba Park, balconies in the Deluxe Twin Rooms and 301-square-foot standard rooms; the Garden Floor houses hybrid Japanese-Western-style accommodations with a tatami room as well as Western bedroom, and a majestic backdrop of a Japanese garden.
The Minato hotel rooms are spacious — a rarity in Tokyo — and all recently renovated. They include satellite TV, large wardrobes, luxurious beds, well-equipped bars with stylish glasses and china tea sets, and some, a small terrace.
Bathrooms are also roomy, with both a shower and bath. Some floors feature jetted baths. They come with floors and counters of marble, plush robes and high-quality toiletries.
Large wall-to-wall windows look out onto verdant parks, the city and Tokyo Tower, depending on room location. The vista provides you with a sense of calm, despite being deep within Tokyo’s famously dense urban center.

The Restaurants

Along with 24-hour room service and an onsite boulangerie, the hotel offers seven restaurants that cover a range of options. Choose among Katsura steak house; Torishiba, a yakitori, or an eatery that focuses on grilled chicken skewers; Yomeiden, a Chinese restaurant; Tenshiba, which specializes in tempura; Shibazakura, a Japanese spot; and Brise Verte, French fine dining.
For sunset cocktails, nightcaps and light meals, the luxury hotel offers three lounge bars: the Sky Lounge’s Stellar Garden, with its breathtaking top-floor views, the Lobby Lounge, with its elegant high teas, and the cozy main bar, Mokuren.
Shibazakura delivers impeccable Japanese cuisine and warm hospitality with a relaxing view of a lower garden and cascading water feature. Hand-pick sake from the neighboring cellar to enjoy with your meal, which include both kaiseki and à la carte options. A traditional Japanese breakfast is also available.
