Celebrity Ascent

A modern ship with an edge
VERIFIED LUXURY

Editor's Note: Celebrity Ascent will launch in November.

The newest ship in Celebrity’s fleet, Celebrity Ascent has expanded upon the designs that distinguish the brand’s Edge class series ships: the unique outward-facing design with the addition of a top-deck open-air space, the cantilevered Magic Carpet lounge that floats along the decks; an additional 179 suites and staterooms, with many featuring covetable indoor/outdoor spaces; and an extra floor to The Retreat’s private deck.

The ship’s interiors and exteriors appear sleeker than ever, with muted color palettes, modular furniture and ample light, fitting for both the brand’s modern approach to cruising and this ship’s seamless blend of outdoor and indoor space.

Elsewhere on the vessel, find 32 food and beverage options, new theater productions, a redesigned casino with new games and The Sunset Collection by Nate Berkus, a shop featuring travel and home accessories from the celebrity interior designer who also masterminded The Sunset Bar, the ship’s hip Mykonos-beach-club-inspired lounge.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Celebrity Ascent borrows a beloved feature of Celebrity’s Solstice class ships: a rooftop garden on the ship’s top deck with green space and whimsical sculptures inspired by childhood playgrounds. During the daytime, the space hosts activities like yoga classes and, at night, the Taste of Film program —outdoor movie screenings with thematic food pairings.
  • The ship’s resort deck provides maximum space for swimming and sunbathing with a large pool, two martini-glass-shaped hot tubs, sea-facing deck chairs and six private cabanas available for rent. At night, the alfresco venue hosts live concerts.
  • Stay in one of the 918 Infinite Veranda cabins. A defining feature of Celebrity’s Edge class ships, the glass bi-fold doors open the staterooms to the outdoors, creating additional cabin space.
  • The ship's spa impresses with an extensive roster of treatments such as Elemis Biotec facials (tailored to suit your specific skincare need) alongside high-tech equipment like adjustable Gharieni WellMassage 4D tables and MLW Amphibia, whose water-filled cushions that adapt to the body's anatomy and the bed also offers color and sound therapy.
  • Consider splurging for a stay in the Iconic Suites. The 1,892-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom suites come with a terrace, decked out with a private whirlpool tub and, according to Celebrity, “a view better than the captain’s own.”
